Hole sponsorships are a win-win effort. The sponsor gets high-exposure advertising with a sign on one of the tee boxes. The post gets revenue that goes directly to the bottom line. Here is an example of a sponsor sign. If you would like to sponsor a hole or will be soliciting a prospective sponsor, the attached Hole Sponsorship Form can be printed.

Raffle and Silent Auction
Part of the fun of events such as this, especially for those who are involved but not playing golf, is the raffle and the silent auction. Donations for our raffle and silent auction are a great way to be noticed in your market. There are over 700 businesses in Bluffton, and we would love to personally solicit every one of them. However, if you do not get a personal visit, please use the attached Donor Form and mail it in or contact the coordinator shown on the bottom of the form. The auction team will assess each item donated to determine whether it should be offered as a raffle item or included in the silent auction. On the day of the tournament and prior to its commencement, each auction item will be displayed with an accompanying bid sheet. Anytime throughout the day prior to the completion of the cookout and the raffle, the auction will be open for bids.

Dennis J. Becker American Legion Post 205 will hold its thirteenth anniversary golf tournament on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Rose Hill Golf Club with a rain date of Saturday, September 29 if necessary. This is our most important annual fund-raising event. Planning and organization are well underway under the leadership of our golf chairman, David Leite, who can be contacted by phone at 508-272-7622 or 843-705-0845 or by email.
How to Get Involved as Player or Helper
If you want to play in the tournament, simply print out the attached Player Registration Form, fill it out, and send it in. You will notice that the tournament is a 4 person scramble, and the registration form contains spaces for 4 people to sign up. If you can put together a 4 person team, great; however, if not, simply fill out the form with as many as you can and send it in. The Rose Hill golf pro will complete your team.
If you want to help with the tournament, we would be delighted to have you. We need volunteers immediately to solicit sponsorships and raffle items. It is vital that we maintain positive control over this effort so that we do not have multiple people soliciting the same business. Therefore, it you wish to participate in this effort, please contact the golf chairman, David Leite, 508-272-7622, and/or the auxiliary president, Gertrude Sterling, 843-757-2195, before you proceed.

*Each player drives from the tee. The position of one of those drives is chosen by the team for the second shot. Each player hits his/her second shot from that point. This routine continues through the hole. At least three drives from each player must be used.
