Operation Wipeout - 2024

The diapers have been delivered on July 12, 2024 by the 'Diaper Brigade' to the joy of Family Services personnel at MCAS. Below are some of the pictures taken at the event. Again, thank you to all the people that have contributed to this project and making it a success.

Operation Wipe Out is part of Dennis J. Becker Post 205, American Legion, Community Outreach Program, where Post 205 is seeking to help military families at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) and the Training Depot at Parris Island in Beaufort. I have established a point of contact at the base with a public relations person and I learned that the military communities are in need of baby diapers. I am asking you to please consider donating to purchase diapers for the military families in Beaufort. Our goal is to reach $1000, by April 1, 2021, to deliver the Diapers to MCAS and Parris Island Recruit Depot. Notification will be sent out when we make the presentation.

Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and continued support of Dennis J. Becker American Legion Post 205, Bluffton. Adjutant Mike Miranda can fill you in on further details where you can send your checks. Check is to be made out American legion Post 205. Memo line: Operation Wipeout.

Your charitable contribution will go a long way in helping these young military families. We hope to make delivery of the diapers each spring. The “Operation Wipeout” Committee already has a pretty good idea of the diaper sizes the families require so there should be no problems. If we should require assistance regarding the transportation of the many boxes of diapers, we will let you know.
